Paco Pad

Everybody loves a Paco Pad! Paco Pads are made by Jack’s Plastic Welding based in Aztec, New Mexico. All their products are proudly made in the USA. JPW has a standard product line that includes inflatable boats, dry bags, and waterproof self-inflating mattresses. They even have an industrial product line that deals with the Oil and Gas industry, NASA contracts for rescue rafts and for capsule stabilization collars, and for environmental products, like spill containments, culvert plugs, manatee rescue, water main replacements, inflatable parts (like lungs and blood bladders) for patient simulators, and coral reef restoration. But what they are most known for is their Paco Pads.

Jack’s Plastic Welding has been making Paco Pads since 1983 with foam certified to be manufactured without CFC (chlorofluorocarbons aka freon). Paco Pads are the most durable and comfortable outdoor camping pads on the market today. Don’t be shocked if you get 15 years, or more, out of your Paco Pad. Yes, they are built for that! Now, let’s talk size….

The standard Paco Pad is made out of 18 oz. PVC-coated polyester with 1.5 inch thick firm high-density foam. It’s 72 inches long by 24 inches wide and weighs 7 pounds. It can also be used to pad raft frames and insulate coolers. If you have a raft, you’ll want a Paco Pad.

The next size up is the Super Paco. It’s made out of the same material but the firm high density foam is 2 inches thick. The Super Paco is 78 inches long and 28 inches wide, and when rolled is 28 inches long with a diameter of 9.5 inches. It weighs 9.6 pounds. Get the support and comfort you need to snooze peacefully under the stars with the Super Paco Pad.

After one night on Jacks Plastics El Grande Paco Pad, it is hard to imagine using anything else on the river.
